The standard AeroGlass panel is clear glass on both the inboard and outboard lites. Because we offer an all glass product, the exterior lite of the AeroGlass panel can be matched to the glass on the vision area’s on the project. Pick your vision glass on the project and if you want the same look on the AeroGlass panel, we can provide a similar make up for our panel.
The SF8 system uses industry standard 2 x 4 ½” thermally broken flush glaze framing. This yields the following desirable benefits:
- SF8 framing has the same aesthetic site lines from inside and outside the building as traditional storefront.
- Because the design has the same site lines and frame depth as storefront, the storefront wall conditions can be consistent throughout the building.
- SF8 is modeled from a well established and nationally recognized storefront framing system. This allows seamless integration of US Daylighting SF8 and AeroGlass panels with doors and vision areas. SF8 will also accept most operable vents, concealed vents and casement windows.
- US Daylighting works with Linetec; one of the leaders in architectural finishing. This ensures that both painted and anodized finishes will match on each project.
US Daylighting utilizes high density thermo-set polyurethane by AZON International for our thermal break. SF8 extrusions incorporate a lanced pocket to provide a mechanical lock that increases the bond between the aluminum and poured resin and reduces the effect of dry shrinkage.
